My name is Zeinb Hassan and I like to do normal stuff like everybody else. I go out with my friends, I go to parties, and I have crushes. People think that just because I wear a scarf on my head my entire life is different. It is at times but not that much. My whole life, everywhere I went I would get stares because "I'm different"? It didn't really make any sense to me but now that I've grown older it's starting to make a little more sense. My brother and sister helped me through all the taunting and the teasing and it was a little bit easier. My brother is a junior in high school, but he goes to Bonita instead of Sweetwater. My sister is a sophmore, but she and I go to Sweetwater. My mom came from Somalia so she never really went to school. I think that's why she pushes us so hard to do well in school so we can become successful. My parents were divorced when my mom was pregnant with me so I never really had a dad, but my grandparents were always there to fill in the role. My grandmother passed away last year in June so it was just my grandpa. He then moved to Dubai because of all the memories he had here so my mom was left alone to raise us by herself. My life isn't really that easy but there are some that have got it worse than me, some dont even have any parents. That's why I learned to always be thankful because not everybody has food on the table or a roof over their head. 
       
               I've always tried to do well in school but sometimes there are a bit of distractions. Sometimes there aren't any distractions but I still don't know what I'm doing and let's just say I'm not really Einstein when it comes to math and english but I want that to change. I WANT to become a little version of Einstein, I WANT to study hard and make my mom proud of me, but sometimes I'm just all bark and no bite. These days kids in our generation have had it easy and they think that it's going to get even more easier. That's probably why they want success to come to them instead of them going for it. I've always had people on my side, I have a great mom, a loving family, and an amazing cousin who's always had my back nd just so happens to go to sweetwater (: I practically have everything i want but not as much but i'm still greatful.
