This advertisements evidence is credible for the fact of that poor animals like the pig are waiting to end up on a dinner table on a plate. So go vegetarian for the sake of animals!!!!!

A Day In My Life
A Day In My Life
My names Jesus Fontes and this is all about what i live with now.First off I just want to say it'd be a pleasure of having all my fellow peers and teachers this year.I'm really excited about what im going to learn for the next few years. And without further ado this is about my life I hope you enjoy.
I grew up in a small town in Bakersfield,California up north where the weather was mostly warm.I grew up with a caring family who has supported me up until now.We moved down to San Diego around the year 2005 when i just began kindergarten in John A. Otis. When we moved here i met people who were always there through thick and thin and up to today we are still aquatinces. I also want to acknowledge all of my teachers for teaching everything I know and what adults i've known who always wanted the best for me. But as I got older i got to understand what I liked or despised.
Now that we're here i want to talk about most of the things that I like at 14. One of the type of things I like most is being my self and have kids younger than me see me as someone great. Another thing would be is how much I like being active and seeing people try their best in any activity. My last thing would have to be how I like learning new words to enhance my vocabulary structure.
Last and not least what I love doing during my free time. one of the many things i love is playing sports and travel to other places and take on hardships for a championship. Another thing would be my passion for writing and telling stories about something on my mind. Lastly although it doesn't sound the best I love writing poems about the way I feel at a certain time in my life. And with that it concludes my story about my life.

The final thing I could do is to try the hardest and make sure to study things I don't know like using flash cards those would really help.

But not anymore, because i'm going to do even better this year so the rest of high school years I do good, and not repeat any classes again.

My School Year Goals
Piedro Rivera
8/18/13
My goal for this school year is to keep on having good grades in my class for I could be successful in life. Initially, to make this goal happen is to study for a test and bring my supplies to class. Also, I need to take all the advantages top raise my grade for I could make this goal happen. However, it might be difficult to do, but with a little help with my family and friends I could make achieve. Furthermore, right now I have some good grades and the ones that aren't so good I need to improve them for I could achieve my goal. Finally, when I achieve my goal I could succeed in my life for all the hard i'm going to do. In conclusion, this is my goal for this school year to have amazing grades in school.
My school year goal
One of my goals for this school year is to get A's or B's on my report card . One way I will try to do this is to do all of my work in my classes and do homework . Another way I will accomplish this goal is by studying one day before I have a test on a class. Also I will keep all my work and notes organized in a binder so I will review them . This are some ways I will accomplish my goal for this school year .
Zaira ahumada (goals)
My goals for this year is to maintain a gpa of 3.0 or higher. One way I am going to achieve this goal is by studying so when a there is a test I can pass it with a "B" or higher. Another way is to do my homework in order to maintain a good grade. Finally, I am going to finish my classwork.
My Goals
My goal is to, get better grades. I want to be successful and have a good future. I will study everyday, to reach my goal. When i don't understand something, i will ask questions. Asking questions is not bad. If you don't understand something or don't know to do, ask for help. My second goal is, to focus more in the things that i didn't really work on. You have to have motivation, and determination on being a successful person. Also, the same way engineers first imagine a bridge and then build it, you can be the engineer if your success, too.

My Goal
My Goal
My goal for this period of time is to get involved in school and in the community. The way I will be successful in this goal will be to join sports every season. I plan to achieve this goal by trying out for any type of sport I'm interested in. I will also achieve this goal by joining many interesting clubs so I can meet new people and get involved in school. Lastly, I'm also planning on getting involved with the community by doing volunteer work. These are only a couple ways of getting more involved with the school.

My Goal
My goal that I want to complete in this period of time is to make it in to the school soccer team. To make this goal true I usually go to practice every time possible, to not miss anything new, and so the coach doesnt think that I'm not into soccer because I'm not going. Also, in free days I have I should go to the park to run to be ready physically. Finally, another way of this goal becoming true would be to go play soccer in the park with any people so I can gain more experience. Hopefully, with these things in mind, I will make it in to indoor soccer team, and the incoming original soccer league.

How I Relate To The Outsiders.
The person I picked who can relate to the characters in the story "The Outsiders", is my stepfather, Andres, because as an infant his mom abandoned him and left him with his aunt and his dad. He was physically and emotionally abused by his dad and aunt. When he became a teenager, he was in a gang, ran away from home, he would get into fights, and carry weapons. He wouldn't go to school and started to steal and went to jail as a teenager and an adult. He was left out in the streets with no food, no clothes, and no where to sleep. He would steal cars, break into houses so he can have money to feed himself because he was just a teenager. He had nobody to take care of him, his family didn't love him and didn't care if he was dead or alive. These are all the reasons why I've chosen my stepfather, Andres, as the person who can relate to the characters in the story. And after everything he has been through he is a caring and loving person.
"Looking Back"
First of all I would like to say that this all my brother saying this word for word please don't get offended of what he says this is all what he thinks he is very truth full about him self. So don't get into what he thinks for what I know he hated high school not because he had bad grades trust me had only "A's" no "B's" its just that he wasn't taut the stuff he was suppose to learn for his job. So this is what he thinks 100% so laugh or be mad ether way this is probably true anyways.
1.) I learned that high school didn't prepare me for college at all, all they did was prepare me for their tests and not how to actually research papers.
2.) Don't take other high school kids so seriously because were all a bunch of idiots anyway.
3.) Mr. Paliotto because he said "any one you pretend to be really doesn't really know what their doing".
4.) To relax and try to have fun while you can because its going to get harder in college.

Looking Back Survey ~Ivan Sanchez
I interviewed my sister named Karen M. Sanchez. Karen said that the most important things she learned in high school were, have to accomplish goals, and how to success in the future. They where so important to her because it helped her to have a better career. She learned this by having great teachers.
If Karen would like to travel back in the past she would change her study habbits.
She said that the best teacher she learned the most was Gy. Sgt. Tavares, because he made the saying of teachers been second period true helping me in everything she needed.
An advice she would like to give to the SweetWater students is to focus in school and not get distracted, studying and doing homework really helps.

First of all I want to start by saying that I interviewed my dad about his high school expierence. His name is also Piedro Rivera and he went to Sweetwater High School as well. I asked him about the things that he liked about high school and the things he learned. He also told me about a couple thing he would change if he had the chance to go back and most importantly he gave me some advice that can help me succeed.
First of all, he said that high school was an exciting time in his life because most of his closest friends till this day are people he met in high school and he has shared good times with them. He said it was also fun to meet kids of diffrent age groups.
Additionally, he said that he liked his Communication class because it really helped him to speak in public and win debates. Before he started this class he was really shy and this helped him open up to people that he didnt really know. He also enjoyed his biology class.
Thirdly, he mentioned that he has good memories of his teacher Mrs Gutierez. He said that he learned a lot from her because she motivated him to read huge books. He said that one of the biggest books that he read in that class was 360 pages long. He was really proud that he had acomplished that at that time. Since this was his weakest subject.
In addition to his expiernces he said that, if he had a chance to go back to high school he would vote for more school activities to keep the students busy and he would join more clubs and sports. He would also ask for the gym to be re-modeled with new up to date equipment. And of course he would ask for better tasting food in the cafeteria.
Furthermore and most important he gave me some advice on not being late or missing school and of course doing my homework at all times. He said another important thing is to focus and always concentrate if i want to succeed.
In conclusion, these are some of my dad's high school expierences. Also, all the things he liked and dis-liked in high school. Lastly, some advice that he would give a high school student.

Looking back
Two of the most imprortant things my mom learned in her experience of high school was how to deal with bullies and to be diligent with her school work. She said it is important to her because it lets u live your life with more success and less regrets. She learned by facing them head on a and with much effort.
Short Term Goal
A short term goal would have to be to focus more on my studies and less on hobbies (a.k.a late night Netflix). This would be one of my goals because i really want to do better this year and get decent grades but Netflix just seems to keep getting in the way.

"Looking Back Survey"
For this survey i decided to interview my cousin, Connie because she just graduated from high school and well unfortunately no one else would reply. Nonetheless i did learn a thing or two from interviewing her, we are not that different after all.
When asked what were the most important things she learned in high school she responded with, "I should've studied to get better grades, whatever you achieve now will be good in the future, but i just should've made better friends for better company." I couldn't agree more. When asked what things she would change if she could travel back in time she said, "if i could, i'd sit in class and focus on what the teacher is saying and not what my so called friends were talking about behind me" If i had a time machine i'd go back and be the friend she needed. When asked what teacher she learned the most from she replied with "my history teacher was very patient and he taught me everything will be alright" If it's not alright its not the the end. When asked what advice would she give to a student to aid in high school experience she responded with "stay focused on school and don't let them bring you down, you're capable of doing great things believe it or not" I'm trying.

My number one goal is to pass Algebra class this year so I don't take again tenth .
I will achieve this goal by studying before my exams. Attending tutoring after school when it is received instead of ditching. Last but not least do the "MAJORITY" of my homework for Algebra because I didn't really do too much of it last year.
My Goal
My goal for this year is to never give up on something I fail at. This is a huge problem to me because i'm like really lazy and dont like to put a lot of effort in things i'm not good on. But i'm trying and I just know I will achieve this very important goal and opportunity . I will do this by studying something I didn't pass until I get it and ask, organize study time in case i'm really busy , and I will talk with a teacher about tutoring or extra help in a subject. This is what ill do in order to get my goal finished and never give up on something that is more challenging for me .
My Goal
One of my goal is that for my whole four years of high school is to pass all my six classes. I feel like in order to pass them all has to do with me putting a lot of effort. I need to study a lot, especially on math and biology so i can pass my tests. In English do my best and understand everything so it won't be hard for me. Doing all my in class work and homework will help me as well, paying attention in class so I can maintain my citizenship grade good as well. I think this will help me after I graduate high school it will make things easier. So I have to put in work because I am very determined. I will need to follow steps for me to get there so I won't get frustrated easy also, don't give up easy.
"Looking Back" Survey
I interviewed my oldest sister named Andrea, which recently graduated this year.
The first most important thing that she learned in high school was that you have to listen to your teachers, even though you might not like them, you still have to respect people older than you. The second one was that any extra credit offers they give you, take advantage of it in order to get a better grade in that class. The third one was if any teachers gave you a chance to re-take a test, and you didn't do very good on it, even if its on a Saturday or afterschool, go to school to retake it. These were important because she was able to graduate from high school with this.
When I asked her if she could go back in time and change what she did in highschool she answered, "Well first of all, don't have a boyfriend because they get you off track in school. But if I could go back, then I would've changed the counselors mind of getting me out of AVID because that really helped me." She said AVID was the way to go, in order to be accepted into a college or university, easier.
The person she learned most from was her AVID teacher, in which she had throughout freshmen, sophmore, and junior years. She learned from her by being able to help her break down things that she really didn't understand much. She never gave up on my sister, even when she gave up on herself. She pushed my sister, and thanks to her she was able to graduate this year.
The advice she would give to a student to help them have a good high school experience is to start well, starting in your freshmen year, because once you mess up, you'll be doing a lot of extra work. Take advantage of extra credit offers, don't be lazy. Do your homework on time, so if you want to go to a party, you won't have to worry about the homework you needed to do or turn in.

"Look Back" survey~~ Isaac Becerril
For my interview I interviewed my dad,
Q) What were the most important things you learned in high school? Why were the so important? How did you learn them?
A) 1. There are no shortcuts. When you are learning put real effort to learn the subject, even if you don't like it. A shortcut just to be done with the assignment will not benefit anybody in the long run.
2. Be good at what you do, not just good, be the best you can be.
Q) If you could travel back in time, what would you change-in your own behavior in the school itself to make you high school experience better?
A) 1. I would appreciate the hard work my teacher/ professors made to get the best out of me.
2. I would chose my friends more wisely, like I would keep some and would have stayed away from the you other ones my parents warned me about.
Q) What teacher did you learn most from? Why do you think you learned the most from him/her?
A) Most of my teachers were good, but one the I will always remember the most was Alicia Peralta. She truly showed sincere interest in knowing each if us and how different we were as people. She knew I had a bad temper and was always reminded me that if I let my anger control me I might lose opportunities in life. She advised me to use my anger to build, to attack the obstacle rather than breaking something or hurting someone.
Q) What advice would you give to a student to help him/her gave a good high school experience?
A) Enjoy high school as much as you can, in a balanced way, There is a time for everything, even to relax and joke around. Think! Think before to do something . A wrong decision can really change your life. Aim to be economically, spiritually and educationally , mature and stable.

1) Education- Having an education gets you a better position any work place.
I have learned the more you study the more money you make and the less stress you have.
2) Memories- Pictures, trips, senior pictures, and prom only happens once in a lifetime.
I was dropped from school because of my behavior all my friends have high school pictures except me I regret that everyday.
3) Friends- See your friends everyday and its nice when you are an adult and you are still friends.
you can still kick it with your friends.
I would change my behavior I would not pick frights to avoid getting kicked out. Study and do homework because I wasn't stupide I just made stupid decisions.
I didn't learn from anything from my teachers. they all just gave up on me. Now I understand the education is now different from back then was from now a day.
stay in school, high school memories will never have a second chance. If you have problems talk to someone don't take it upon yourself.

Aisha said if i could go back in time i would change the stress i had because that got in my way of enjoying my young days in high school.
My sister said she learned from her math teacher because he just focus on memorizing the problems and learning the concepts of each problem and how to do it.
Advice Aisha gave me was not to procrastinate and manage your time wisely because that's the only way to be successful in high school and collage.

For this survey I interviewed my older cousin. He currently graduated from high school and is planning on going to college. He was the class of 2013.
One of the most important things that he learned from high school was that school is easy if you just pay attention in class. He also stated another important thing that he learned in high was that you only have friends outside of the class room not in it.
He also stated that if he could travel back in time he would do the necessary tasks in the moment instead of later. I also believe in this to succeed in my education.
He learned the most from Mrs. G. she taught him that education is and always will be his number one priority in life.
He would say that you shouldn't drop out of school even if it gets difficult at times, you always have to try your best at everything you do.

One three most important things my brother Jeremy learned in high school is to take his education seriously. The second important thing was to respect others not only his elders but also his friends and family and other people around him , people he goes to school with. Lastly, to get good grades so he can go to a university. These things were so important to him because growing up my grandma taught him to respect and to do good in school because she said " when I was in school a long time ago we didn't have anyone to help us out and she said luckily my brother had Mr. Hall to help him out. He learned these things from not only my grandma but from my uncle also , my uncle was in the marines he taught us not only to respect others but to show respect at all times.
If he can travel back in time he would, take his classes more seriously he said because his freshman year he had messed up he didn't get good grades but his sophomore junior and senior years he did good he tried his best to get all A's and B's. Also, he said he would change his behavior, be more mature and not talk in class when the teacher is talking. He would change, messing around
in class and not crack jokes and actually pay attention.
The teacher he pays most attention to is Mr. Hall. The reason he learned most experience from his is because he helped him the most. When he needed help in any class Mr. Hall was there to help and support him. He even was there to help him go to college. Mr. Hall helped my brother Jeremy so much that's why my brother learned the most from him.
If my brother were to give advice to anyone he would tell them to stay in school and do good in school. Also, he would tell them to take their education seriously. To stay out of trouble, to get good grades , and to go to college.

"Looking Back Survey"
For this survey I used my brother that graduated on 2012 from Sweetwater High, I had to emailed him the questions because he is currently not home right now and he answered back. For him the three most important things he learn while being in high school was to be a happy person, have confidence, and have comfort ability.
He said,
"Be a happy person and you'll make school a fun place to be at and you will like to learn in class instead of it being boring."
For number two he wrote,
"Have confidence and you'll make many friends with students and teachers and you will not be shy or embarrassed to ask questions."
And for number three he mentioned,
"I learned comfort ability because it makes easy a lot easier, things just flow into your mind instead of them being all cramped up."
To make his high school experience better he believed the school could of done a little bit better. He told me,
"I believe school had a great schedule and a great staff there isn't much to change the only thing that would be nice is if we'd be allowed to go off campus on lunch break and it wouldn't hurt to have a campus security dog to lower down the drug rate but with no policeman required."
He actually did learned something from a teacher he wrote,
"I learned the most from Ms. Gutierrez she not only taught me biology but what I also learned from her is health, equal and wealth funny how they both rhyme but it's true, she taught me how to be physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually fit if your good with all this then your set to succeed I also learned how to be calm and patient in any situation it will make it less stressful."
What he said for number four was, "I wish I could go back to high school and start all over again because it was fun and try harder in class to make it easier for myself after high school, also to make the best of it because it's an event you will never forget and memories will be made"
