"The Raven and The incident in the Rose Garden"

In "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe, Internal conflict is the device that plays a larger role. He uses it when he says, " vainly i had sought to borrow." It plays a large role because he feels hopeless.

In "The incident in the Rose Garden" by Donald Justice irony is the device that plays a larger role. He uses it when he say, "Once more before i die." It plays a large role because the author is expressing he's feelings and showing that he wants to make he's poem feel sad.
