The raven and the incident in the rose garden poem

In " The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe , Alliteration is the device that plays a larger role, he uses it when he says , " to the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core" it plays a large role because he uses is it many times in this poem.

In " The incident in the Rose Garden" by Donald Justice irony is the device that plays a large role , he uses it when he says " I encourage death just now among the roses thin as a scythe he stood there . ( line 5 ) ....  sir I knew your father and we were friends at the end as for your gardener I did not threaten him old men I mistake my gestures I only meant to ask him to show me to his master I take it you are he ( line 45 and 50 ) it plays a large role because the writer made the reader feel that death came for the gardener when he actually came for the master .
